At some point a long while after Philip found him, Alex is back in the mansion. In his room. Cameras on. Hand over his face.



After a while, he begins typing, locking his communicator as tight as he can make it go. He has a lot of practice by now. Only a very skilled hacker is getting through that.

He sends a message to Mark. He's seen, after the fact, clips of the guy asking for him.

Hi Mark
I saw you were looking for me
I'm fine now.
Thanks.
I didn't mean to worry you.
Sorry man.

It's a lot easier to say you're fine when you don't have to back it up with voice or expression.



He locks another transmission, this one to Sofia. He gets the feeling that she keeps an eye on him. If anyone noticed he was missing, she would've done.

But he hasn't seen evidence of her knowing, which makes it harder to know how to broach the subject of being back.
